Wireless operators are trained to listen to complex audio streams in a foreign language, accurately transcribe what they hear, translate it and summarize the key information under time pressure. This requires high concentration, linguistic accuracy, fast pattern recognition and strong working memory.

Training is built around repetitive listening exercises that simulate real operational scenarios where trainees must gradually improve speed, accuracy and decision making quality. Both precision and consistency are critical as small errors can significantly impact outcomes.

Traditional training processes often rely on manual workflows, delayed feedback and fragmented tools. Trainees struggle to understand their progress and correct mistakes in time while instructors face heavy workloads and limited capacity to provide support.

The result is slow and frustration learning cycles, high cognitive load and inefficient certification processes. This project focuses on redesigning this experience into a streamlined, data-driven and scalable digital training system.

I conducted qualitative research with trainees and instructors using in depth interviews and workflow walkthroughs to capture real behaviors, cognitive challenges and operational constraints. Insights were synthesized through affinity mapping, followed by empathy mapping and pain point clustering. These findings were translated into user journeys and How Might We questions which guided the product strategy and design decisions.
